Are you looking for the Best Teacher planners of 2022? Let’s be honest, the majority of our job is content planning. Whether that is lesson planning, personal life planning, goal setting or simply pacing our work day, we are constantly planning something.
Teachers are insanely busy in December as we work hard to meet our year end goals; but what if you could get a functional planner that works best for you, without having to do any more research? I am a social studies and language teacher in South East Colorado, and I totally understand the teacher planner struggle. Currently I am working on designing my own planner, but In the meantime, I have done my product testing, and research on the best teacher planners of 2022 and below is what I have come up with.
Now, the first thing I want you to think about is what are your top three needs within your teacher planner? Mine are: Monthly and weekly planning, vertical weekly planning, and it has to be affordable. Generally, I am looking for something that is less than $50. The best planner I have ever found came from one of my favorite teachers, but she has since switched to completely digital, and I am just a paper planner girl. Don’t forget that you can always purchase digital, and either print it yourself, or have it printed at your local office supply store. But for the sake of your time, the planners below are already put together and ready to ship to you.
I have included my top two favorites, that I have used, and the top three trending Best planners of 2022.
My Personal Faves:
#1 The Happy Teacher Planner –
This is by far my favorite planner right now. It is affordable, colorful, inspirational, and there is so much personality in each one. It makes me want to plan and open it up daily. I have used a happy planner for three years, and the only one that I have found that is better, is one that I have designed myself!
Pros:
-
Tons of color/design options
-
Very visual
-
Your first order you have the chance for 5-10$ off, or free shipping.
-
They constantly have sales
-
They have coordinating stickers to go with it!
-
It is available on Amazon
-
Very encouraging/inspirational designs/quotes
-
Tons of layout diversity
-
Each month has a notes page where you can have notes/goals, which I love! And it really helps you plan out each month.
Cons:
-
Not a ton of notes space, though you can purchase stickers or inserts to take care of that! (& They’re insanely affordable!)
-
The weekly planning, doesn’t have a whole page dedicated to it, which I need because I teach 6 different subjects, run a blog and I need space to really dig into my weekly goals. But overall this is my top planner choice!
#2 – Teacher Created Resources Planner
This planner was clearly made by teachers for teachers. It is undated, affordable, inspiring and plans for multiple subjects. Most teachers teach multiple subjects and this is a heavily needed feature for teachers. Thank you Teacher Created Resources for thinking about teachers!!!
Pros:
-
Available on Amazon
-
6 Subject planning
-
Vertical planning
-
Affordable (Around $20)
-
Includes stickers
-
Includes whole 8.5 x 11 sized pages for weekly planning (Which is needed when you are a content creator)
Cons:
-
The design options aren’t bright and visually appealing. But I just purchased the Happy Planner stickers to brighten it up. This is the planner I am using this year! & Right now there is a 20% discount!! (I love sales!!)
Trending Planners for 2022:
#1 Erin Condren Planner –
Erin Condren planners are like the top of the top when it comes to teacher planners. They are customizable, colorful and user friendly, but they are ridiculously pricey.
Pro:
-
5-15% off your first purchase.
-
Perfect for a visual planner
-
Inspirational
-
Fully customizable
-
Offers both horizontal and vertical planning options
-
There are a couple of them on Amazon, but mostly the accessories and petite planner are what is available on Amazon.
-
Customizable for teaching multiple subjects (Which is a huge pro for me!)
Cons:
-
They are expensive, you can get their petite planner off of Amazon at the expense of customization. But if you customize from their website, they start at $65. Which teeters on being out of my price point.
#2 Rocketbook teacher planner –
My sister got me one of these planners for Christmas last year and there are some definite pros to this planner, like the fact that it is reusable and affordable, but it just doesn’t fit my planning style. I wanted to love it, but a planner’s design has to speak to me, and usually that means that it is bright/visually appealing and joyful. Because my planner is my foundation, it reminds me to pray, to plan, and to meet my goals. I do see this planner being great for someone who doesn’t need the visual frills, but rather straight to the point.
Pros:
-
Get 15% off your first order
-
Cloud connected
-
Reusable
-
Easy to use
-
Sleek design
-
Affordable
Cons:
-
Not paper (I know that is the point, but remember I am a paper planner person) I have to see my plans, goals, objectives etc.
-
Not a ton of color/design selections
-
Not for visual planners (Which I am)
#3 Blue Sky Teacher Planner –
Blue Sky planners are perfectly affordable, and are incredibly user friendly. I included this planner, because it is one of the highest trending teacher planners of 2022, but personally this planner would be best suited for a person teaching one to two subjects, not multiple.
Pros:
-
Clean, sleek, but also visually appealing
-
Affordable! Their planners start at $15
-
Lots of sizing and design options
-
Feminine design
-
Visually appealing, while also giving off a neutral/low key vibe
Cons:
-
Pretty basic
-
I would not call this a teacher planner, even though it comes up when you search for teacher planners.
-
Not designed for multiple subject planning.
-
Not a lot of space for notes

I really like Plum Paper planners. They have planners for all different reasons – teacher planners, student planners, budget planning, wedding planning, notebooks, grade books, etc. and each one is so customizable that I always gets what I need out of it! They are a bit pricy, but the fact that I can customize it so I will use every section justifies spending the money for me!
Ooooo I will have to try that one!
